Ubuntu Cloud Day – Bangalore

I had the pleasure of attending the first ever Ubuntu Cloud Day on 4th April,2012 at Bangalore. These days such events pertaining to the Cloud have become norm with pretty much every company claiming a stake in the Cloud Computing business.  

So I was a little skeptical going into the conference but it was completely sold out and in fact the organizers were not expecting 200+ people to be attending this event. Although, there was some marketing pitch by Canonical and Citrix (the discussion panel on “When not to use cloud” turned a little ugly when some panel members accused  Citrix and Canonical of leading the discussion away from the core topic to self-promotion), over all it was a good day if you wanted to understand the open source landscape around Cloud Computing.

My interest in attending this conference was to understand the advancements in cloud computing and see how we can leverage some of those technologies in our very own txtWeb platform. Read the rest of this article at txtWeb Engineering Blog
