One month into its existence, the Developer Marketplace is witnessing some interesting times – exactly what it was aimed for when it was doing the conceptualisation rounds.

We have had

• 180 total bids so far for the apps that were up for grabs
• 47 unique developers have joined the platform since the kick-off. That translates to an average of 1.5 developers per day!!
• 8 projects have been auctioned so far.

The projects that have been auctioned and on which work has already begun are:

1. IPL App – Developed by Parth Lalcheta
2. Election App – Gaurav Trivedi
3. App on Filmy News – Arjun Bharadwaj
4. Art App – Divya
5. Examination Results – Pavan Teja
6. Real Estate – Sandeep Bhaskar
7. Jokes— Awaiting allotment
8. Shayari— Awaiting allotment

The 9^th App, on E-Com, is still in the ‘bid collecting phase’ and has 8 more days to close.

Of the above, the IPL App that was entrusted to Parth Lalcheta and his team comprising Swapnil Jain, Ankit Tomar and Ankur Dahiya, is already up and running and making waves too!! Called @cricguru, it is a gaming app that lets a user to predict winners for every match of the IPL that are currently underway and win exciting prizes.

Going by the interest generated by the developer community, we have been buoyed to identify newer areas that a txtWeb app can fit in. Keep watching this space for all progress on this topic.
