My txtWeb Story

Hello all,

I wish to share my txtWeb story with you. It all started with an obligation to attend a presentation in our college, but I am now very happy that I attended it! The presentation took less than five minutes to catch my attention. The concept of Web on text messages was exciting and the fact that we could create apps on this platform got me even more excited. What started as an obligation turned into a very interesting session.

txtWeb is a real value addition to a mobile. I used to think that my S40 mobile was lame when compared to smart phones. However txtWeb has really changed the way I use mobile and with txtWeb I now feel that real power is in my hands. One thing that made me think like this was that my mobile didn’t have a dictionary application, but with txtWeb I have the whole Wiktionary (this was shown in the campus presentation and that is when I became a fan of txtWeb). I now feel that it is far better to use txtWeb to find meaning of a word than using a dictionary and much better that booting my computer to search it on internet. I can now do many cool things with my mobile!

One good thing that I like about txtWeb compared to normal GPRS is that here we can customize the data that we get from internet. The huge unorganized internet can be made to flow according to our will and wish. So what we get after 'n' clicks on browsing can now be obtained at one message. Apart from this we can have some very useful applications which cannot be developed as a standalone mobile application. In one word txtWeb has given a new dimension to use of mobiles with the power of internet at a call of a text message. And one more thing I like about txtWeb is that it returns a quick response message to whatever you send to it. I now have a habit of looking at mobile screen waiting for a similar quick reply even when I message to my friends!

txtWeb is an excellent platform that hides all the technical difficulties from the developer making him only to worry about developing a simple servlet or a web application and the next minute it is available on phone with help of txtWeb. One thing I like about it is the fact that the protocol for using txtWeb platform is very simple and easy. You need not have to be an outstanding programmer to learn the nuances. I love to develop apps on this platform because of the final utility it gets once the apps are available on mobiles and the simplicity of the platform that makes it  easy for me to put up my ideas and see them working.

I would like to thank txtWeb team for providing such an excellent platform and for all the support they have provided. I wish them a huge success in this project.
